Hello, I am Mary Kenyon, one of the current Regency Place ARC Committee members. I have enjoyed the 3 years that I have volunteered on the Committee and Boca Winds Board. This year it is especially enjoyable because we have a full committee participating. I have been a resident of Regency Place since 1997 and have raised my 2 daughters and son in the community. Regency Place has always been a friendly, neighborly community. That became even more apparent after the hurricanes. It is wonderful to have neighbors you know you can count on.
I am fortunate to have a career in Real Estate which is my passion. I receive much fulfillment in helping families and individuals make their homeownership dreams come true. Along with Real Estate I am an Ambassador for the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce and co-founder of the Women’s Advocacy Group for The Haven. On June 2nd I will be hosting the 1st Annual Help the Haven Golf Tournament.
Neighborhood Update: At the May Board meeting there was discussion on the problem with motorcycles, 4 wheelers, etc. on the vacant property behind Middletown Drive. This has been an ongoing issue for many years. On one end of the property there is a barrier however because it is owned by the County we cannot lock the gate. Our management company is making inquiries to see if the County will work with us in locking the gate.
Water Restrictions – The water restriction will be strictly enforced so we hope that all neighbors will abide. It is a shame to see our lawns dry but we must all look at the big picture with the environment (and hope for rain).
Boca Winds Front Entrance – There will be a special meeting as soon as all 5 bids are received. We know everyone is anxious for this project to get started so please watch for the notice of the special meeting.
Regency Place Front Entrance – Our front entrance is going to be updated with a sign and light on the left side of the entrance. This will enable people coming from the back entrance to see the name. Also there will be new annuals to be planted. Our homes are looking updated with the new roofs and painting that the residents have been doing so we are excited to keep the front entrance updated. I hope that everyone noticed the change in the light bulb facing the current sign. The softer light did change the look of the current sign at night. The committee welcomes input from all residents as to ways to improve the community.
