Hi! Welcome to the Waterways web site. We are pleased to bring you news of our community to keep you informed and interested in what is happening, and hope this gives you the incentive to take a more active part in governing Waterways through your Architectural Review Committee.
We do want to remind you that your Architectural Review Committee only approves any changes you may have in painting, plantings or any other changes you may wish to make to your property. We DO NOT ISSUE VIOLATIONS to home owners, that is the duty of the Boca Winds Homeowners Association. Our job is to help the community maintain a harmonious appearance to enjoy the visual pleasures for our residents, and to keep property values high.

Here is what happened at our June 15th meeting:

Committee Business
Paul Pontrelli, our committee President, and President of the Boca Winds Homeowners Association conducted the meeting.

4 members of the ARC were present.
2 community residents were present.

Request for Modification: There was 1 request for modifications, which was approved.

Security: Bill Petraglia, was out of town, and his report was given by Paul Pontrelli. He noted that we have instituted the summer pool security from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm each day of the week. The private security officer patrols both pools to enforce our pool rules and maintain serenity at these locations. The majority opinion of the board felt that having this officer present at the pools will create a relaxing and secure environment for all Boca Winds residents and their invited guests.
He also reminded all residents that we have had a few attempted thefts from autos parked on driveways in the Boca Winds development. These attempts have occurred during the late and early morning hours. Please remember to lock your vehicles, especially overnight.

Community Discussions: Paul and Alan Hertz reviewed the status of negotiations with Comcast concerning the contract to be considered for renewal or other options.

Paul will attend a public meeting of the West Boca Community Council. South Florida Water Management District officials, and the Army Corp of Engineers will give residents a chance to ask questions about the water reservoir scheduled for construction in the northern reaches of the Everglades. Paul will probably give a report at the next Boca Winds monthly meeting

Having no other business, the meeting was adjourned.

IF YOU WANT YOUR OPINIONS, GRIEVANCES AND SUGGESTIONS TO BE BROUGHT BEFORE THE BOCA WINDS BOARD OF DIRECTORS, YOU SHOULD COME OUT TO THE ARC MEETINGS, AND MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD. DON’T WAIT FOR A BIG ISSUE TO COME OUT TO THE MEETINGS, MAKE A SINCERE ATTEMPT TO COME OUT AND GIVE OUR REPRESENTITIVES THE ABILITY TO VOTE YOUR WISHES!

NEXT ARC MEETING: TUESDAY, July 20th, COME AND JOIN US!!
