April, 2010

Hi! Welcome to the Waterways web site. We are pleased to bring you news of our community to keep you informed and interested in what is happening, and hope this gives you the incentive to take a more active part in governing Waterways through your Architectural Review Committee.
We do want to remind you that your Architectural Review Committee only approves any changes you may have in painting, plantings or any other changes you may wish to make to your property. We DO NOT ISSUE VIOLATIONS to home owners, that is the duty of the Boca Winds Homeowners Association. Our job is to help the community maintain a harmonious appearance to enjoy the visual pleasures for our residents, and to keep property values high.

Here is what happened at our April 20th meeting:

Committee Business
Paul Pontrelli, our committee President, and President of the Boca Winds Homeowners Association conducted the meeting.

6 members of the ARC were present.
2 community residents were present.

Request for Modification: There were 3 requests for modifications, 2 were approved, and one request for fencing was rejected. For this type of modification, the applicant needs to receive written permission from the Bay Winds HOA, plus a Fence Removal Agreement.

Security: Paul Pontrelli gave the report for Bill Petraglia, who was out of town. It was noted that there were two attempted break-ins in Carlyle, and we have been advised by Sheriff Deputies that we should be vigilant and report anything suspicious. They have noted an increase in the amount of attempted break-ins to homes and vehicles in the Boca Raton area.

Community Discussions: Paul took the time to bring the residents and members of the projected improvements which will be done to town hall entrance. Progress was being made.
- Paul and Ken Ristau also touched on the subject of foreclosures, and failures in maintenance payments that is a problem with us as with all homeowners and condo associations. A subject that needs watching. Residents who are interested should attend the Boca Winds Board meetings on the first Monday of every month, where the subject is discussed.

Having no other business, the meeting was adjorned.

IF YOU WANT YOUR OPINIONS, GRIEVANCES AND SUGGESTIONS TO BE BROUGHT BEFORE THE BOCA WINDS BOARD OF DIRECTORS, YOU SHOULD COME OUT TO THE ARC MEETINGS, AND MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD. DON’T WAIT FOR A BIG ISSUE TO COME OUT TO THE MEETINGS, MAKE A SINCERE ATTEMPT TO COME OUT AND GIVE OUR REPRESENTITIVES THE ABILITY TO VOTE YOUR WISHES!

NEXT ARC MEETING: TUESDAY, May 18th, COME AND JOIN US!!
