November, 2009
Hi! Welcome to the Waterways web site. We are pleased to bring you news of our community to keep you informed and interested in what is happening, and hope this gives you the incentive to take a more active part in governing Waterways through your Architectural Review Committee. We do want to remind you that your Architectural Review Committee only approves any changes you may have in painting, plantings or any other changes you may wish to make to your property. We DO NOT ISSUE VIOLATIONS to home owners, that is the duty of the Boca Winds Homeowners Association. Our job is to help the community maintain a harmonious appearance to enjoy the visual pleasures for our residents, and to keep property values high.

Here is what happened at our November 17th meeting:
Committee Business Paul Pontrelli, our committee President, and Member of the Boca Winds Homeowners Association conducted the meeting. All committee members were present. Seven community residents were present.
All current members of the ARC were elected with no other nominations. To fill the slate, Tony Mazzara was appointed to the open vacancy. All members were installed.
The committee, appointed Paul Pontrelli as director, and Bill Petrolia as Assistant Director.
Request for Modification: There was one request for modification. It was approved.
Security: Bill Petraglia reported: A short report, an unauthorized vehicle in the neighborhood was investigated, other than that, it was a pretty normal month,
Other Discussions:
- It was noted that the annual Boca Winds picnic didn’t go as smooth as in the past, with problems with the amount of food available. Paul polled the committee and residents present, and it was voted that he should convey to the Boca Winds Board, that Waterways would not vote to support the picnic in the future. Paul will also be asking the Boca Winds Board to pressure the common areas where necessary
- At the West Boca Community Council, Paul pushed for a traffic light at Shorewinds, and Palmetto Park Road, where there was a fatality recently.
- Alan Hertz reported on the ongoing negotiations with Comcast concerning our contract with them. He will have more to report at the next meeting.
- The ARC committee will be checking all of the light posts for violations.
- Paul reminded everyone that the annual Boca Winds Meeting will be held on Monday, December 7th.
Having no other business, the meeting was closed.
IF YOU WANT YOUR OPINIONS, GRIEVANCES AND SUGGESTIONS TO BE BROUGHT BEFORE THE BOCA WINDS BOARD OF DIRECTORS, YOU SHOULD COME OUT TO THE ARC MEETINGS, AND MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD. DON’T WAIT FOR A BIG ISSUE TO COME OUT TO THE MEETINGS, MAKE A SINCERE ATTEMPT TO COME OUT AND GIVE OUR REPRESENTITIVES THE ABILITY TO VOTE YOUR WISHES! NEXT ARC MEETING: TUESDAY, DECEMBER 15th, COME AND JOIN US!!
