We are pleased to bring you news of our community to keep you informed and interested in what is happening, and hope this gives you the incentive to take a more active part in governing Waterways through your Architectural Review Committee. We do want to remind you that your Architectural Review Committee only approves any changes you may have in painting, plantings or any other changes you may wish to make to your property. We DO NOT ISSUE VIOLATIONS to home owners, that is the duty of the Boca Winds Homeowners Association. Request for Modification: There was one request for modification, which was approved.
Security: Bill Petraglia noted that the summer security schedule has been approved. - - -There were some reports of graffiti which are under investigation. - All other matters were normal. - Bill wanted to remind everyone, particularly women, that when getting gas, not to leave handbags or other valuables while going into the convenience part of the station. He said police have reported an increase in this type of crime.
Other Discussions: Paul Pontrelli reported that: - The Fabulons are to perform at the Amphitheater (entrance on Glades Road) on Friday December 4th. More details as available. - Paul will attend a meeting at the Emergency Operations Center, and represent us to be briefed in hurricane preparedness - He reported that a reception was held for service man, Shaan Hogun, on his return from combat in Iraq. His family was pressed to pay Town Hall rental, so the Sons of Italy Lodge, Leonardo Da Vinci, of Boca Raton, donated the rental fee so this young man could have a first class welcome. Here is a news article describing the event: - It was noted at the Boca Winds Board meeting, that there some homes being neglected and being reviewed by the Board and CMC. He also reported that a Social Committee has been formed to look into certain uses of Town Hall by residents. No meetings have been held to date, and Paul will advise us of any decisions.
Having no other business, the meeting was closed.
