February, 2009
Hi! Welcome to the Waterways web site. We are pleased to bring you news of our community to keep you informed and interested in what is happening, and hope this gives you the incentive to take a more active part in governing Waterways through your Architectural Review Committee.
We do want to remind you that your Architectural Review Committee only approves any changes you may have in painting, plantings or any other changes you may wish to make to your property. We DO NOT ISSUE VIOLATIONS to homeowners, that is the duty of the Boca Winds Homeowners Association. Our job is to help the community maintain a harmonious appearance to enjoy the visual pleasures for our residents, and to keep property values high.

Here is what happened at our February 17th meeting:

Paul Pontrelli, our committee President, and Member of the Boca Winds Homeowners Association conducted the meeting.

5 committee members were present.
There were 3 community residents present.

Request for Modification: There were 2 requests for modification. All were approved by the Committee.

Security: Bill Petraglia reported that there has been movement on the graffiti vandalism situation in Boca Winds over the last year. A sheriff’s deputy, on duty, traced a graffiti symbol to a youth, who admitted it to the officer. Paul Pontrelli will bring to the Boca Winds Board, the consensus of Waterways ARC committee and residents; which is, restitution for the cost of removing the graffiti, and the second choice would be prosecution.

Other Discussions:
-Paul Pontrelli will follow up on the Comcast contract to see if they have lived up to their contract. He also attended the West Boca Community Council, which covered: Resurfacing of State Road 7, the White Fly issue on the ficus hedges, and updates on the University Drive extension package which is slated to be removed from the plan. He also advised that the Board approved replacing the tile gutter on the West pool and the Budget surplus will be placed in the Capital Reserve.
- There were 60 – 65 letters sent to Waterways homes for landscaping, watering, and fertilizing.

Having no other business, the meeting was closed.

IF YOU WANT YOUR OPINIONS, GRIEVANCES AND SUGGESTIONS TO BE BROUGHT BEFORE THE BOCA WINDS BOARD OF DIRECTORS, YOU SHOULD COME OUT TO THE ARC MEETINGS, AND MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD. DON’T WAIT FOR A BIG ISSUE TO COME OUT TO THE MEETINGS, MAKE A SINCERE ATTEMPT TO COME OUT AND GIVE OUR REPRESENTITIVES THE ABILITY TO VOTE YOUR WISHES!

NEXT ARC MEETING: TUESDAY,    March17th, COME AND JOIN US!!
