October 20, 2008

The October Waters Edge ARC meeting began with the following members in attendance; Jose Gutman, Linda Giannini, Joe Mauro, Jim McCormick, and Mike Zaremba. There were also 4 residents present. The meeting began with a review of Boca Winds HOA October 9 Board meeting. Some of the BW Board highlights included;

The Boca Winds Neighborhood party is scheduled for November 16.

Bay Winds Board (not BOCA WINDS) established their budget for 2009 and Quarterly fees increased from $97 to $100. Boca Winds Budget Workshop will be October 20th. Their proposals will be discussed and voted on at the November 3rd Board Meeting. Also discussed was the drastic increase in fertilizer cost and the cost to treat for the ‘whitefly’ bug that is destroying the ficus hedges.

Reviewed Account Balances. The HOA is OK on Income and Expenses for this year, but our Delinquency amount remains high. A current estimated number of Foreclosures would be around 19 (+ or -), and an estimated number of delinquent accounts would be 60 to 70 (+ or -) in our entire Association. The management is doing everything possible to collect on both mentioned.

A motion was made to purchase ‘Holiday Lights’ for the entrance not to exceed $500 and it passed 5 to 2.

There will be a Sheriff patrol car in the neighborhood on Halloween. Please be attentive of any potential problems and take extra care when the kids are out trick-or-treating. Halloween is Friday night, October 31st.

There were 2 requests for modifications for the Architectural Review Committee. After much discussion, one was passed and one was denied.

Remember November is the month to vote for your neighborhood committee volunteers and other national and local elected officials.

Sincerely,
Mike Zaremba
