Welcome to Waters Edge Enclave and Estates notes from our ARC meeting of August 11, 2008. In attendance were board members Linda Giannini, Jose Gutman, Mark Locigno, Robert Gaynor and Mike Zaremba.

I, Mike Zaremba, conducted the Waters Edge Meeting which began with a review of Boca Winds HOA Board meeting. Some of the BW Board highlights included;
Capital improvement expenditure for 3 well lights at the entrance on Shorewinds Drive was approved.
The Board discussed requiring security when someone rented the Town Hall facilities for a party. Although the quote from Arrow Security was only $95 for 6 hours, the decision was postponed till next month to see if other developments were requiring, offering, or were not involved in security when renting their facilities.
With a rising number of delinquent Association payments by the homeowners, the BW Board approved landscaping maintenance by our management on another vacant home, and authorized legal action against 6 homes that are in some form of foreclosure or abandonment.
We also discussed and authorized the Treasurer and Property Management to spread the HOA’s bank account to numerous banks in order to maintain FDIC insurance of amounts only up to $100,000. This will make bookkeeping more difficult but minimize any loss.
The Board also voted not to spend $1200 annually to upgrade and maintain our Associations’ cable channel 63.
The Board finally discussed the ‘Family Picnic’ date as probably the weekend before Thanksgiving – November 16.

The Waters Edge ARC members then discussed the two requests modifications (lights & patio extension) by homeowners which were approved with restrictions.

And, a BIG thank you goes to Linda Giannini for all the time, research, and work involved in re-landscaping the Estates Monument and tying both Estates and Enclave Monuments in with the much needed new lights. Great Job!

We encourage you to attend the next Boca Winds HOA meeting which will be Monday, September 8. Waters Edge Estates & Enclave Architectual Review Committee meets the following Monday evening, September 15, at 7 PM.

Have a safe Labor Day Weekend.

Mike Zaremba
