Second Monthly Water’s Edge Estates Newsletter

Hello Neighbors:

Welcome to the Water’s Edge Estates and Enclave web site.
We are pleased to bring you news of our community to keep
you informed and interested in what is happening. We
encourage you to take a more active part in governing our
community through the Water’s Edge Architectural Review
Committee (ARC).

Our job as committee members is to help the community
maintain a harmonious appearance for all of our residents,
and to maintain property values high. We are not paid for
the time that we donate to meet and discuss our community
and how we can provide you, the residents, with an
enjoyable neighborhood to raise your family.

Your officers are:
President…….……Michael Zaremba
Member…………….James McCormick
Member…………….Robert Gaynor
Member…………….Linda Giannini
Member…………….Jose Gutman
Member…………….Mark Locigno
Member……….…… Joseph L. Mauro

Below is a summary of what happened at our March 10
meeting:

The meeting started at approximately 7 p.m.

Mike Zaremba, our committee President, conducted the
meeting.

- Four committee members were present, namely Mike, Jim,
Linda, and Jose. Mark, Rob, and Joe were not present.

- Two community residents were present, namely Chet and
Cindy both of the Enclave. Thank you!

Mike Zaremba discussed several topics from the Boca Winds
Board Meeting.

First, there is a new Beautification Committee under the
Boca Winds Board. Linda is our representative.

Second, delinquencies in payments of HOA fees have
increased from around $49,000 to around $73,000 at the
present time.

Third, on 2/10/2008, Wells Fargo and Country Walk took
possession of the foreclosed home at Tiki Drive and Little
Palm Lane.

Next, there was discussion of Capital Improvement project
ideas.
1) parking lot resurfacing
2) canvas awning at pool
3) replace chain link fence at tennis court
4) pressure clean courts and replace nets at tennis courts
5) clean courts and backboards at basketball courts

We then discussed the ongoing project to improve the front
entrance to BW. The BW Monument landscaping is almost
complete. The finishing costs are expected to be around
$280,000. Lastly, due to county requirements the lights
lighting the monument will likely need to be turned off
every night at 1 a.m. We discussed a concern with the
front entrance sign not being visible at night (after
lights off) and the potential consequences of emergency 911
responders not being able to quickly identify our community
at night.

The Enclave Monument - shrubbery will be made more balanced
and maintained on both sides.

The Waters Edge Monument - plantings will be added and more
balanced on right side of monument. Purple shower & pepper
plants will be added adding color in front of the monument.
A tree will be moved from right side of monument and three
coconut palms will likely replace the tree.

Chet, one of the homeowners from the Enclave, volunteered
to be on the new Bylaws Revision committee which will be
instrumental in review and revision of our BW by-laws and
the ARC rules. Thank you, Chet!

The meeting adjourned at around 8:15 p.m.

We encourage ALL Water’s Edge Estates and Enclave residents
to
join us for the monthly ARC meetings.

I feel privileged to participate in our ARC group this year
with Mike Zaremba leading the group. Our meetings are well
organized and informative in great part due to Mike’s extra
efforts.

We will continue to provide these monthly newsletters so
you can be kept generally informed about our community and
about Boca Winds. We also welcome your participation at
our meetings. All our neighbors should try to attend these
monthly meetings and help us keep our neighborhood an
enjoyable place to live.

Thank You,
Jose Gutman
ARC Committee Member, Waters Edge Estates
