Hi! Welcome to the Water’s Edge Estates web site. We are
pleased to
bring you news of our community to keep you informed and
interested in what is happening, and hope this gives you
the incentive to take a more active part in governing
Water’s Edge through your Architectural Review Committee
(ARC).Our job as committee members is to help the community
maintain a harmonious appearance for all of our residents,
and to keep property values high. We are not paid for the
time that we donate to meet and discuss our community and
how we can provide you, the residents, with an enjoyable
neighborhood to raise your family.

Here is what happened at our February 11th meeting:

Mike Zaremba, our committee President, conducted the
meeting.
- All committee members were present.
- 4 community residents were present, including James
Bouras, one of Water’s Edge Estates former committee
members.

Mike Zaremba discussed several topics at this meeting. The
first was the BW Monument. This has been a main discussion
topic at every ARC meeting for over 1 year. At this
meeting, we discussed our disapproval of the length of time
it has taken the Board to have this project completed.
There were several points regarding the lack of size of
the ‘Boca Winds’ letters on the Monument related to
the overall size of the structure. Also,
Linda pointed out that the letters might be smaller than
some of the letters on some of the community monuments.
This led into a discussion that seems to have been brought
up at the big board meeting related to the lights and how
it affects the Monument. The lighting, as it is now, is
insufficient and quite frankly lame. If you live under a
rock and have not seen the lights at the
entrance, there are basically 2 flood lights aiming at the
sign. Mark Locigno pointed out that the lighting seems
improper as the sign is on an arc or curve and the lighting
then does not hit all of the letters, making it difficult
to read the sign. Our ARC is quite frankly very
disappointed in the Monument as it seems like it will be.

The next topic was the landscaping of our community
monument. Mike was directed by the Board to get some
proposals from some landscapers and have those bids put to
the Board for approval. The goal is to have our monument
look as vibrant, elegant and pleasant as some other
monuments.
The next topic was to review several resident requests for
changes to their residences. All were approved, some with
conditions.
The meeting ended about 1 hour and 15 minutes after we
began. We encourage ALL Water’s Edge Estates residents to
join us for the ARC meetings. I want to personally thank
Mike Zaremba. He has stepped in to the position of ARC
President and since then, it has been a well organized ARC.
He sends all the committee members an agenda at least
several days prior to the meeting and holds the meetings as
close to schedule as he can so we can all go home to our
families. Thanks Mike!
We will continue to keep these newsletters coming monthly
so you can be kept in the loop about our community and
about Boca Winds in general.
Thank You,
Joseph Lawrence Mauro
