We (Regency Place Architectural Committee-RPARC) are trying to address some issues with Regency Place as follows Sidewalks We have informed the management company, which in turn notified the county, about some uneven sidewalks which can be a hazard to all residents in the community and in specific the children. Regency Place entrance sign We got the management to change out the lighting to have; not one, but two lights which are softer in Illumination so as to have the signage appealing to the eye. Angela Zaremba is in the process of trying to get the opposite side beautified by placing a sign with a light. In doing so the entrance can be seen from both directions as Jose Garcia pointed out. This simple project will give the neighborhood much needed updating. The cost should be absorbed in the regularly maintained budget. NO SPECIAL ASSESSMENT Main Entrance We should have some idea @ the next main board meeting as to the contractor whom secured the bid. The cost should be no more than what was collected in the SPECIAL ASSESSMENT according to the information we (Regency Place ARC) have received. We were advised this project will not incur any additional expenses out of your pocket. University Drive If anyone has an understanding of this issue it is Nick Rongione and I assure you the Regency Place ARC is supporting whatever is in the neighborhood's (Regency Place) best interest. The present RPARC is trying to insure the road does not go through. If you feel different then attend the RPARC meetings every first Tuesday @ 7PM located @ Town Hall. With that said it has met with opposition; however, the RPARC believes this matter will be resolved with the outcome in our best interests. Before any more monies is spent by the main board of Boca Winds the RPARC will advise me as to how to vote. Town Hall There were some skid marks which were on the stamped concrete. The stamped concrete was sandblasted and then it was decided to repaint it the same color. the RPARC agreed so the vote @ the main board is to paint it the same color prior to the vandalism. Neighborhood Issues We are prioritizing what issues should be addressed with the management company. Regency Place receives our share of violation letters from the management company. Some of your ARC members have received them too! There is no disparity of treatment. We can do our part by reading the covenants pertaining to modifications or just call the Town Hall. Keeping the area outside of our houses will also help prevent the violation letters from being distributed. Fortunately Mary Kenyon has been on the main board in the recent past and has made the transition an easy one for me. With her contacts she has been able to get us support with issues concerning us here in Regency Place and what the main board views of different issues are. I do not vote on any matters @ the Boca Winds Main Board meeting, which has money involved, unless I have the RPARC input. The RPARC represents all of us in Regency Place so if you have an issue then bring it to the RPARC committee's attention. Ruben Martinez and Shaun Khourshid agree we should decide/vote on issues as if it were our own money and not spend it just to spend it. We should look @ the long term effects to decisions we make on your behalf. Ruben reminds me of the tax watch person in that he wants to know if we are getting the best bang for our buck and is that the right way to spend it. If you are not happy with the way we are representing you then tell us. This is voluntary and everyone on the RPARC lives within the neighborhood so we see and know what the issues are. All of us view this as our neighborhood and try to do the right thing even when others are not watching. Vince Knight
